In a conversation with my AALL Leadership Academy mentor, Lucy Curci-Gonzalez, about the copious amounts of leisure time I was soon going to have, she advised me to stay connected. The more I thought about it, the more I wondered how other law librarians affected by the economic downturn were managing. In a conversation with the wonderful people at AALL, the idea for this blog came about.
So instead of just applying for jobs, cleaning out all my closets and hunting down all the Cadbury eggs in the greater Columbia area (It’s a recession, y’all. People eat candy.), I wanted to do something more constructive with my time. Hopefully, this blog will help any other law librarians of leisure. Its purpose is to gather statistics, post jobs and advice, and provide a place where we can stay connected.
