Library Associates Companies (LAC) seeks a Senior Director, Library Operations for a large, diverse, and multi-lingual organization in Downtown Los Angeles. The Senior Director will plan, implement and manage the day to day activities of a large staff in the Library Operations Division. Additional responsibilities include initiating and developing programs/projects to expand the collection services and library usage and selecting, supervising, and training staff. Our ideal candidate will have an understanding of law librarianship, the practices of operating a law library with branches and partnerships, and a familiarity with reference, bibliography, and collection management (cataloging, serials, and acquisitions). Must be able to effectively work with the public, legal community, and judiciary and government officials. Candidates must have an MLS or advanced degree in Business or Public Administration or equivalent experience. At least 10 years of demonstrated library management experience is required.
