Probably not. An article in today’s ABA Journal reports that there have been more than 10,000 layoffs in major U.S. law firms so far in 2009 alone. The numbers break down into 3,881 lawyers and 6,282 staff. However, there does seem to be some good news: the pace of the layoffs appears to be slowing at least.
