Santa Clara County Law Library has an opening for one(1) library technician position. 7-12 hours per week, $14-$16 per hour. Evening hours required. We are currently looking to fill two evening closing shifts and may occasionally required to staff the weekend shift.
Library experience strongly preferred, but not required.
Typical Tasks:
- File loose-leaf updates;
- Shelve reading, stack maintenance, book shifting;
- Performs other related duties as assigned;
- Give patron directional assistances;
- Circulate library material following established procedure.
Requirements, Ability to:
- Learn and apply library policy and procedures;
- Follow and understand written and oral instructions;
- Work independently under minimal supervision;
- Push heavy loaded book carts;
- Reach book shelves from 6 feet high to floor level
- Manual dexterity is also required.
