NPR story on new rules for job seekers

NPR featured a story today on the new rules of recruitment for today’s job seekers. The story points out the death of paper resumes (at least in some circles) and the need for updating one’s information on social networking sites such as LinkedIn and Facebook.

Are you still sending paper resumes to apply for jobs? I’m not. Besides, stamps are expensive. (Okay, fine, not in the grand scheme of things. But do I even have any stamps right now? No. I just finished the last of my supply of whatever ones weren’t the current price, forcing me to put two on every envelope. I guess I better go hunt some down at whatever those suckers cost these days.)

Have you updated your social profiles? Speaking of, I’m off to go make sure I’ve done that….
