Responsibilities
The Librarian Relations Consultant position exists to develop and implement regional plans and programs for law librarians, to meet overall LexisNexis goals. The position is based in San Francisco , CA and travel is required.
- Basic functions of the Librarian Relations Consultant position include:
- Building strong relationships with law librarians
- Developing and implementing law librarian communication and training plans
- Work with LexisNexis sales and market planning to develop regional plans and goals
- Representing the voice of the law librarian customer to LexisNexis management
- Participation in national and regional law library associations
- Travel is required
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in information or library science is preferred
- Direct experience as a legal or accounting librarian
- Comprehensive knowledge of the professional legal and/or accounting librarian marketplace
- Highly developed written and oral communications capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal communications skills in order to interact with internal and external customers, make presentations, speeches, and conduct training sessions.
- Proficient user of online research services and demonstrate an understanding of the online industry.
