The FCIL librarian is responsible for selecting materials in assigned topic areas. The qualifications for this position include some experience with American, European, and international legal systems and sources. A strong service orientation toward all library patrons with special attention to law faculty and students, excellent organizational skills, and a strong public service attitude are essential.

Minimum Qualifications: JD or equivalent degree from an ABA-accredited law school; and a MLS or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited program. Proficiency in searching online databases, and experience teaching legal research. Must possess excellent organizational skills. The successful candidate should also possess the working knowledge of at least two foreign languages, preferably French or Spanish.
Preferred Additional Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to work with faculty, students, and staff in a diverse research community; ability to research and analyze international, foreign and comparative law; experience assisting faculty and students, and the ability to integrate electronic technologies in the classroom.
