An Announcement

As of September 28, 2009, I will no longer be a Law Librarian of Leisure. I have accepted a position as a Legal Reference Librarian in the Public Services Division at the Law Library of Congress. I can’t tell you how excited I am about this opportunity and my move to D.C.!

However, as I’ve thought about writing this announcement, it has caused me to reflect back on the last six months and what I’ve learned. I’ve learned to be patient. I’ve learned to try to be understanding of someone else’s viewpoint because you never know what they have been/are going through. I’ve learned that hopefully things can happen for a reason.

And now it’s your turn. While I will still oversee the blog, I’m looking for contributors to help with some of the day-to-day stuff. If you are interested, please email at clsellers at gmail dot com. Also, I’ll be moving next week so posts might be sporadic. I hope to get settled and things back up and running by the end of the week.

  1. Christine,
I just discovered your blog this week, and am very happy to hear your news this morning. I met you on the train to the airport after the Portland AALL last year. I moved from my job at New England School of Law to a private firm this January and am pleased with the move. Hope to run into you again at a future conference. And best of luck with your move and new job.
