Description: The Judge Kathryn J. DuFour Law Library at the Catholic University of America is seeking a full-time Acquisitions Assistant in its Technical Services department.
Responsibilities: The Acquisitions Assistant is responsible for timely ordering and receipt of library materials and processing of invoices. Specific responsibilities include placing orders, pre-order searching, downloading OCLC MARC records (using Connexion Client), verifying receipt of invoiced materials, posting invoices into the Law Library’s Millennium system and reconciling payments via the university’s Cardinal Financials (Peoplesoft) portal. The Acquisitions Assistant communicates with vendors and supervises one or more student assistants.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of library work experience are required (three years academic library experience. may substitute for the degree).
