New York Law School, a dynamic urban law center located in the heart of Tribeca, seeks a Reference Assistant to participant in all aspects of providing reference services to our students, faculty, alumni and the law school community.
Job Description: Primary duties include coordinating interlibrary loan operations; processing and filling faculty requests for library materials; insuring timely delivery of requested materials and compiling the departmental statistics required by both State and National organizations. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
Job & Educational Requirements: College degree required. MLS or JD desirable. Working knowledge of OCLC and legal databases required. Law library or related academic library experience preferred. Supervisory Skills desirable. A strong service orientation and evidence of ability to work well with faculty, students and staff in a variety of settings are essential.
