The Florida Coastal School of Law is seeking candidates for a newly created position of: Reference Librarian.

The Reference Librarian reports to the Head of Reference, assists with the development of the library’s reference program policies, and is primarily responsible for policy implementation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Participating in Library Reference Desk rotation, including some evenings and weekends.
- Working with faculty in support of scholarly research and class instruction – includes developing and providing class research modules.
- Developing and presenting formal and informal library instruction for full range of available resources.
- Assisting patrons in the evaluation and use of print, electronic, microform, and other resources.
- Producing and maintaining instructional materials (such as pathfinders and guides) to aid library patrons in their research.
- Participating in collection development.
- Actively keep abreast of current information technology developments with the potential to improve library reference & instructional services.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Master of Library Science and JD required or equivalent combination of degree and related experience.
- Experience in training and instruction of groups preferred.

- Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.
- Flexible and positive attitude – ability to work well with changing priorities and/or situations.
- Detailed knowledge of print and electronic legal research tools.
- Strong computer knowledge and ability to adapt to new systems.
